Ecolink door and window sensor tripping

Hello all, I’ve got an ecolink door and window sensor that is sending me a status update through autovera every 3 hours saying it was tripped. It shows the state doesn’t changed as the old value is 0 and new value is 0 showing the door stayed closed. It looks as though the device might get polled every 3 hours and that’s when it’s giving me that update.

Is this common and would it set off the alarm warning if I had my vera set on away? I’m not sure how it thinks it is tripped if there is no change in status. Maybe this is just an issue with autovera and the way the sensor is polled. Just checking for any insight.

I have the same problem Ecolink door and window sensor tripping every couple hours… When tripped Vera Alerts send TextToSpeech to a Android Tablet and The Tablet keeps saying that the door is closed every couple hours. Anyone knows how to fix this.?

It’s when the device gets polled that it’s showing the tripped status despite the door not having moved. You can even see that the old status and new status both show 0 (not open).

This is more annoying than a problem, but I’ve been afraid to set up a type of alarm out of fear it would be tripped by the sensor when it gets polled.
