Duwi Wireless Remote Control [art. no 05445], Duwi Wireless Wall Transmitter

Hi all,

What’s your experience using Duwi stuffs with Vera 3?

So far the Duwi stuffs I bought never worked with Vera scenes. Anyone got Vera Scenes working with Duwi remote controls?

Some of Duwi stuffs I bought: Duwi Wireless Remote Control [art. no 05445] Duwi Wireless Wall Transmitter [art. no 05443]

Hi,
I also have the 05445 remote controle and also never get it working.
Note that this was part of my first Zwave order and I only try one or two time long time ago.
I decided to give it another chance… My first Google search sent me here… not the best start…

Last time I was able to “join” it to the Vera as an additional controller. But then I was lost.
There should be some kind of syncro between the Vera and the remote but not sure if it works as I didn’t know how to assign button to scene…

I keep you updated if I found something.

Waw, configuring a remote may sound simple but as much as I dig as much as I’m lost.

So, I was trying to re-include the Duwi remote to my Vera. But never get the familiar fast orange blink.
By mistake, I press the “all on” front button and heard the garden water pump power on (linked to an on/off module).
And in fact, All on and all off are working.

In the Vera Web interface I have a ghost “scene controller”. Maybe it’s a relicats of a previous testing with this remote.
But looks like the Duwi is still part of the Zwave Network. Even if the water pump was added after the test, it turn it on.
Don’t know how to identify this device. I’ve seen a post on Ghost scene controller, will try to find it back.

I’ve tried to create an association group (id: 1) with a lamp, hoping it will turn on/off when pressing the up and down 1 button. But not.

So in summary, looks like when succssfuly inculded in the network, ALL ON-OFF should work.
Now I need to find a way to be sure I’ m working on the good scene controller and try to configure the button.

bye

I bought these items recently and have EXACTLY the same issues - can’t configure the controller and the battery switch, although included successfully now does not appear on device list. Strangely, it DOES appear on the list you see when making associations, but there’s nothing you can do with it.

So you are not alone.

The UI5 panel for assigning scenes appears blank - quite unlike the straightforward and elegant configuration for the Aeon Minimote which I heartily recommend (although only four buttons).

So it does not show on the [tt]Devices > All [/tt] tab, but does show in the list to assign associations?

I managed to Exclude the wall switch eventually, and now have it included and showing, so that’s fixed.

UI5 tab “Scenes” once you open the device with the Spanner tool displays no buttons to assign scenes.

Whilst I can now place the wall switch into Associate mode (triple UP switch click) AND get it to link to a plug-in module, this doesn’t work for a Fibaro in-wall module. I really want this as an additional remote switch for the wall module. Should be easy, but isn’t.

I figured, but wasn’t sure, as it’s blank for my MiniMote also. Anyway, that tab is only active for certain scene controllers. Regardless, you should be able to create scenes with triggers based on a ‘a scene is activated’ etc. The [tt]Scenes[/tt] tab is believed to do the same thing, in an easier fashion.

(This is the generic case, don’t know if it applies to your specific device.)

My outcome to the above saga…

  1. Duwi Remote went back to the vendor - I gave up the fight with it
  2. Duwi Wireless Wall Transmitter finally associated with the Fibaro wall module I wanted.

All I can say is that the triple-click required on the Fibaro module is very, VERY quick (1.5 seconds is not much time for a heavy momentary wall switch), but it worked in the end.

So I suppose that, like much else to do with home automation, it’s easy if you know how but there are so many more ways to get it wrong than to get it working right.

Good luck to all.
