DSCAlarmPanel : Invalid Password for the EnvisaLink module, please reconfigure.

So, this has been working OK, without error anyhow, then I can see somewhere recently the plugin updated, now I get this.

To confirm:

creds are user/user and the variable has been setup for the password in the DSC Panel connection
EVL-4 can login with user/user
Network / TPI status shows active and logged in by Vera IP
Works great for maybe 24 hours, then stops communicating and seeing the DSC and the password error appears.
The message does not go away, appears immediately after running the LUA code or reloading the engine
Rebooting does work… for 24 hours or so

I thought this was due to the Amazon Alexa Helper as they both started around the same time, so I removed the helper app, and it still flakes out after 24 hours or so. I do notice it is now on .40 of the DSC app. Unsure what it was on before, but i am pretty sure when I installed it in Dec 2016 it was not .40

Anyone else seeing this? Driving me nuts.

To add:

I received a notification after turning on TPI alerts that there was a “TPI Session Closed” and then seven seconds later, “TPI Login” - and now, the “Invalid Password” is showing again.

You can only have 1 software agent talk to your DSC interface card.
If a second tries to connect it will be refused and looks like a password failure … but it’s not … it’s just already talking to someone.

Just wanted to make sure you didn’t migrate from a Vera 3 to a Plus (or something like that) and start having a problem because you left the Vera 3 connected.

VeraPlus is my first foray into this.

Just had the error again a minute ago. Disarmed system, Vera stayed in Night mode. Rebooted Vera controller, all good now.

Going to go pull the logs. This is ridiculous.

I have used this setu with a vera2, vera3, and Vera plus with no problems.

Richard… are you using an EVL-4?

This is what I have in the logs after it stopped communicating and put the error up on the status bar, after reloading the LUA engine, and before it says “Invalid Password for the Envisalink” again after reloading the engine.

After rebooting, the error goes away and it works as expected.
“Automatically detect devices is off”, the TPI login shows as logged in from the EVL-4 web console.

And the “TPI login” is from the exact moment in the lodge below that it says it can’t login and to change the password.

Anyone have any ideas?
