DSC it-100 vs it-230

Hi,
I wanted to see if the DSC IT-230 RS-422 Interface Module can be used in place of the IT-100 in connecting a Vera 3 to a PC1832 (4.60NA). It appears from what I have been able to find that a bi-directional RS-422 interface should work with the Vera 3, but I haven’t seen whether it has worked for anyone.

Right now it is connected to a C24 hub, but I am thinking of replacing the C24 with a Vera 3 and getting rid of C24 entirely since the Vera seems much more compatible with a wide array of Z-Wave devices.

If you want to interface your DSC system with a Vera then you’d be better of getting rid of the IT 230 and replacing it with an Envisalink EVL3. The DSC plugin only supports the IT100, Envisalink 2DS or EVL3.

Thanks for the advice. The IT 230 is already on the alarm to connect a C24 Hub, but I will try it with the EVL3. I’ll have to do some reading to see how to remove the IT 230 and install the EVL3 unless they can coexist.

They should be able to coexist as I have an IT100 and a 2DS on mine.

I just have a few questions, did you ever get the it230 working with Vera or did you have to move to the it100?? I am very interested as I also have an it230. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
