DSC Alarm - Armed in Away or Stay

Is there any way to tell if the alarm is armed in away mode or stay? The programmers document indicates that the arm mode (away, stay, zero-entry-away, or zero-entry-stay) is transmitted with “Partitioned Armed,” but it looks like the ArmModeNum variable is only a 0 or a 1 (disarmed or armed).

Well the easiest way is to look at your keypad. It will tell you.
If you are away from your home and on a mobile device, i use a 3rd party app called Imperihome. It shows me what mode my alarm system is in. Arm / Away, Arm / Stay, Disarmed. It works great. I can also use it to control the alarm system.
I hope this helps you.

You will have to look at some of the other variables on the partition … to see the details of the arm mode.

The “ArmMode” variable on the partition will read either “stay” (for armed stay), or “Armed” (for armed away). This value is also shown on the partition device.
