Downloading (accessing) all images that a camera takes when triggered.

Hi all! Finally got my Foscam FI8910W’s working (motion sensors appear as separate items – yeah!)…

BUT I am finding the interface to access the images somewhat cumbersome. The interfaces state “Number of seconds to archive the video after the sensor(s) are tripped”. I was hoping that this would take the individual frames that the camera sends and create a video X seconds long. Needless to say it does not.

There is also no way i can find to access those videos on my own bypassing the web interface. The reason? I want to archive them into h264 movies so i can view them easier and store them later.

Ideas?

(bump) ;D

the information I have is not possible at this time to record videos in MCV server.
I am recording pictures.

I don’t know if is possible integrade a NVR (network video recorder) to my network and record videos from this cameras.

I think will be cool something possible to record.

Does anyone know 2 things:

  1. What location in the Vera Lite (filesystem) are the images stored?

  2. Are archived material also stored on the Vera Lite. If so, where. If not is there an API we can use to “fetch them”?

TIA

All images and footage are stored on MCV’s servers. Vera does not have enough storage to store images and footage locally. I do not think there is any type of api, I believe the current method of retrieving the images and footage is via the Vera UI interface.

I have an iomega network drive and would be good have plugin to recognize that on vera and associate his space to locally store images.

@janngobble – can you forward me any links for how to get the foscam recognized correctly with the motion sensor as a separate item? Also, are you wireless or wired? Thanks…

Just learned this today elsewhere on this forum: In the Advanced settings for the camera, change the State from -1 to 0

Somehow I don’t think I saw an answer to the original question here. How do you view the archived pictures? When I check my Alerts list, I can see a line for each archived image. Then what? If I click on the little down-pointing green arrow, all I get is a little white square with a spinning circle inside it, forever. I tried this with both Firefox and Chrome and got the same result.

So how do I look at archived images?

I always hate answering my own posts, but in this case MCV Support had the solution - you need to put each camera’s MAC ID in its device. Now clicking on the green arrow displays the archived images.

Thanks for posting the solution. I was going nuts trying to figure out how to get that to work.
