Door/Window Sensor for Shed Door

Just curious if it?s possible to take a door/window sensor and be notified if I leave a shed door open for a set amount of time?

I don?t need to be notified every time it?s open, only if I forget to shut it. Would this be programmed as an intrusion sensor? I have Sentrol’s magnetic door contacts https://www.valinonline.com/products/1086t-n installed in the house and didn?t know if this would be appropriate to use in a shed? Thanks for all your help!

I assume you have some way (alarm panel interfaced to Vera) to add this sensor? You can set up Reactor to trigger after the door has been opened a predetermined amount of time. I use a standard Z-wave battery-powered door/window sensor on an outside shop door and a Reactor trigger to create a “door open too long” notification.
