Hi
I’m new to home automation and have a Vera edge. I have installed a couple of door/window sensors and want to be able to check if they are opened or closed. But I can’t figure it out, I can trigger on opening or closing, but I want to have open or closed as condition on scenes or triggers. For example if it’s 9 a clock and the window is opened, alert me.
Am I missing something? Can’t seem to find a opened/closed status.

Then another option to choose whether it is tripped or untripped will appear. Untripped is closed and tripped is open.
Unfortunately, Vera can’t do exactly what you ask, combine the tripped sensor AND the time schedule, by default. To do that, you must either use Lua/LUUP code or a plugin to extend Vera’s functionality.
The plugin you want is called Program Logic Event Generator(PLEG). It allows you to accomplish the AND conditions that you want and a whole lot more without having to actually write Lua/LUUP code.
Thanks guys! It was the Tripped variable I was looking for. Seems that it takes a while for the web gui to update that variable, so it didnt change when I tried it before. Now a waited a while, and it was updated!
Read about PLEG and it seems to be nice to have, will try that to.
