Not that this is a priority but am I the only one who wishes the bloody dongle light could be turned off when not needed (ie: when plugged into Vera) flashing or not it’s annoying when the lights are off
I’m all for a light off option. It’s kind of bright with the orange and blue. I have one in a closet and you can see the glow through the edges of the doors at night.
I’m wondering about what the light is trying to tell me.
After the update the blue light is solid - more often than not. Sometimes it’s off for a short while and sometimes it jitters.
I just have some electrical tape over the blue, I kept waking up thinking the cops were after me with all the blue flashing.
I liked the cops bit…

good one myhomeserver ;D, that thing is sure bright in a dark room
@denix: The dongle’s lightning changed after the firmware update.
Yes, I’m aware of that. But it doesn’t make the old “hack” of taping it over with an electric tape any less useful, does it? ;D
Another vote to turn off the light. This is all about “remote” control…so not planning to look at the device when using it
I too would like to see the light turned off. It makes us new users think that there is something to be done, as if it is an alert!
This problem has been discussed (see links above). We really have no control over the flashing. Aeon Labs does and seems that in the upgrade firmware (available for some models) made something about the flashing. We’re sorry.
