Dome HA water shutoff not pairing

Hi…

I am trying to pair a Dome HA water shut off to my Veralite and cannot get it to work. I am still running UI5 and its been quite a while since I have paired anything to the Veralite so it could be operator error.

Anyone get this to work by chance?

UI7 = Z-Wave Plus

UI5 = Z-Wave which will not run Gen 5 devices.
There are some claims of backward compatibility, you might be lucky but I doubt it.

Your only option now is to upgrade to UI7

zedrally is right, it has been officially integrated and will work just fine with UI7 only.

Thanks everyone… I had been putting off UI7 for a long time because of the issues in general and with VeraLite. I may at this point buy a VeraEdge so I can get this to work. It seems there are a lot of issues with VeraLite and UI7 upgrades, I believe because of memory…

Keep the lite running as it is and add a Plus for new devices.
If you really need to use devices that are on the UI5 net then you can run the Plus as Master with the Lite as slave.

Got it working with UI5 Veralite. Press on/off for 20 seconds to clear memory. The go to web ui and “add devices”. Add a z-wave device, first item in menu. Select “option 1” , click add then press Dome on/off button 4 times (not 3). It will add and give the same “failed to get config” error that z-wave plus devices give, but it will work fine.
