Does Schlage Link WCW100 IP Camera work with UI5?

I just hacked my Schlage Link WCW100 IP Camera (how to is in another topic)
I’m running UI5 1.5.236

I can log in and configure the camera at http://192.168.x.y/img/main.cgi?next_file=main.htm
I can see my live video at http://192.168.x.y/img/video.mjpeg
I can see snapshots at http://192.168.x.y/img/snapshot.cgi?size=3&quality=5

under UI4 I had added the luup plug-in. Under UI-5 it seems to find the camera, but it does not display the image from the camera.

on my CMH page, here is what I filled-in to the bottom of the devices, camera, settings:

URL: img/snapshot.cgi?size=3&quality=5
username: administrator
password:
MAC: <the camera’s MAC address> 00C002abcdef
IP: <the camera’s IP> 192.168.x.y

Anyone have an idea where I went wrong?

Working for me on V2 with 1.5.255, so maybe try upgrading the firmware and see if you can get it going? (MiOS)

ok … I upgraded the firmware to 1.5.255 That was not it.

But I did get it to work. The IP address of the camera has to be in the same subnet as Vera.

Hello,

My friends, I recently switch from nexia. So Far I was able to pair all my devices, except the camera. I have spent hours looking for a firmware to make the camera work. However, if you check the links to Northq (the danish company) the download links are not working.

Someone can be kind enough to provide me with the File. Thank all for your help and support.

The file that I am looking is the following: FW-NQ-9006.1009.zip

I was able to get two of those working on my dad’s system.

The upgrade program and firmware can be found here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B0UgHOuCPI_rU2RvZHN2WW5BNm8&usp=sharing

Thanks very much B5Pilot.

I was crazy trying to find this firmware.

Please say how did you hack your Camera or publish a new topic doing this.

Thanks.

Anyone have the original firmware to restore it to the original state pre-hack?

I have not yet hacked the firmware on the unit I’m testing. I can hit http://192.168.x.x/img/snapshot.cgi?size=640x480&quality=5 and it displays an image from the cam. I’m wondering why, when you try to add the cam as a generic cam in Vera, it throws the error “Unable to get image from your camera.” I’d prefer not to hack the camera firmware if I can avoid it, and since you can bring up an image in a browser from the cam, it strikes me as odd that this doesn’t “just work”.

I also tested the steps to manually create the camera device (http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Manually_create_IP_Camera_device). Once completed the “Camera URL is invalid” error is thrown.

Does anyone have any ideas why this isn’t working?

Hello Smilepak,

I have a virgin WCE100 and would be happy to copy the firmware down if you could coach me thru it…
