Is there a way to do this?
Trying to dig into frequent LUA restarts (UI7).
Thanks

It’s a feature of your router. It directs the upnp traffic to the upnp clients… Some NAS and managed switches can do this too apparently but it is more a router function.
Vera also has a UPNP setting in Settings-> Net & WiFi > Auto Detect …
At least in UI5, I don’t find this really stops the UPnP discovery process - the queries are still sent out, just devices don’t get auto-created. So I am not sure changing this setting helps with stability. I turned off UPnP in as many network devices as I could, and I saw a drop in the UPnP logging in Vera. I really wish there was a way to turn it off or at least create a blacklist of devices that Vera should ignore…
This is mostly used for port forwarding on routers, shutting it off does not stop auto discovery packets from bouncing around. Some cheap Belkin routers will even let the packets get out to WAN.
As someone with this problem, do you have a Plex server on your network? If so turn off DLNA on that side… it caused restarts about every 10 minutes.

Yep Plex DLNA turned off months ago.
I get Vera reboots every few hours; usually after a trigger fires (no specific trigger) that is supposed to fire a scene.
Hi,
I too am looking into similar issues and have found in my system set up, Kodi is having an impact when on W7 Machines. If I do ssh into vera thee run netstat. All is well until I boot up a w7 machine that auto start kodi. I have replicated this on two machines and have also set both to have all plugins disabled and also to have upnp / dlna disabled. Kodi on openelect on a raspberry pi does not have the same effect however. i believe some element of kodi to be the culprit in my case but just don’t know how to fix yet.
Sorry for the necropost, but did anyone ever find a solution to this? I wasnt able to search and find a solution. Just like LightsOn, I am running multiple Kodi boxes on my network. I had the problem with win7, but it seems it has gotten even more frequent now that I have upgraded the problem PCs to windows 10.Just disabling autodiscovery on my vera didnt help.
I have UPnp enabled on my router (Netgear 6300) and Vera is not in the list of participating clients. In fact, it is 3, Windows 10 computers including 1 that is dedicated to running Plex (and APCUPSD to monitor the network UPS and report its status to Vera).
Hi. I have the same issue and just created a new thread because support have whomsoever there issue and are looking at a fix. The more they are aware of the issue hopefully the faster a fix will come.
