Disable HandleUPnPDiscovery1

I have been having a lot of deadlock/restart problems, and one of the suspect processes is the HandleUPnPDiscovery1 process. This was previously IDed as an issue here:

I have a LOT of UPnP servers, some of which I can’t disable. 2 HDHomeruns (can’t disable UPnP), a Synology NAS, my router (UPnP disabled now), a Sony Blu-ray player (I use UPnP to control, but now power down when not in use), plus likely others I have not identified.

Is there a way to really disable UPnP discovery on Vera UI5? Just un-checking “Auto detect devices on my home network” does NOT work. I had a crash tonight that from the logs it appears that was related to Vera ‘playing’ with one of my HDHomerun tuners while it was supposed to be turning off a z-wave light. I think the tuner confused it along enough to trigger the 60 second deadlock…

Maybe someone has segmented their network into sub-nets to get around this?

Hello

Have you a solution for this upnp problem
thanks

No, as far as I can tell, the best advice is to disable other UPnP servers on your network when possible to limit the overhead…

Are you running Plex?

no i have an oppo 103D and when my vera is on i have aframe check sequence incorrect
and it freeze to connect smb or nfs with my synology

I too have a Synology NAS where I store my content, and I see it occasionally being probed by Vera’s “HandleUPnPDiscovery1”, but nothing like what happens with my HD Homerun Prime or my Sony Blu-ray. Sounds like the Oppo is more like the latter… I use a Dune HD to connect to my NAS to play movies and other contact, and since that Dune isn’t a UPnP server, haven’t had a problem like you describe…
