Disable dimmer features on HA06?

I’ve got an HA06 dimmer switch that I want to connect to some CFL lights. The capabilities are listed as: 201,4,0,3,17,0|32,38,39,114,134

I suspect that if I tweaked that list, vera wouldn’t view the switch as a dimmer.

In the short term, does anyone know how to make vera view an HA06 as a regular switch?

In the longer term, since lots of folks are using vera for “greening” their house and are using CFLs, perhaps an option in vera to disable the dimming capability, or just have a check-box that there are non-dim CFLs on a particular device and vera handles the rest under the covers?

thoughts?

I’d be careful with this. I’ve got a couple of HA dimmers (can’t remember the model right now) and calling “on” or “off” on them will actually dim (fade) from 0 to 100 or vice versa. This will tend to let the magic blue smoke out of CFLs.

I’m curious to know if it is possible via Vera to change the dim up(on)/down(off) behavior of the light switch to just an off/on state. I imagine the answer is no and its hardwired into the switch itself.

It should be done on the switch itself, as Z-Wave protocol does not have such feature, AFAIK. Leviton Vizia-RF line of dimmers allows you to do this on the switch itself - see "“Vizia-RF” thread on this forum for more details.

Yeah, Vera isn’t controlling the dim action. Vera sends the dimmer an on/off exactly the same as it does a normal switch
