I’m searching for a solution to dimmer leds. I have a led in tape format. I saw in some place fibaro have a piece what dimmer all kind of lamps including not dimmerable leds…

Hi Piwtorak,
I am not sure what you mean by " I have a led in tape format" but if you are talking about normal LED bulbs, you can dim them with the Evolve dimmer switches. I only have LEDs in my house and it works great. For best results, make sure you have a neutral wire in your box!!

but look this :
I have intermatic hA03 plugged in a outlet…
and a notebook power supply plugged in HA03
this power supply feeds the led tape…
I will try dimmer ha03 to verify if dimmer the leds…
will let you know because actually it only turns on and off

How does the dimmer connect to the mains power, by a light socket/fitting or a mains power outlet?
I have seen 2 types of dimmer (the Fibaro one that you mention, which would most likely need the Fibaro ‘bypass’ added as the load would be under 25w) or there is an EverSpring Dimmer socket/plug. These might be suitable to your needs.
I have one HA03 plugged in outlet…
and in HA03 I have a power supply 12volts transformer plugget feeding the led tape lights…
HA03 is a device which support dimmering of normal lamps…but with tape leds I don’t know…this night I will try…
From the video it appears that Led uses low voltage DC, non of the regular dimmers will work with a DC power supply. If you connect it to a Transformer which is an inductive load, good chance is that you will damage the dimmer. Low voltage dimmer with transformer and rectifier might work.

not happens when I dimmer the HA03…I think maybe because the tape led is 12V and HA03 dimmer 120v circuits…

Your power supply needs to be a dimmable power supply and your laptop is not. You can dim any raw LED as long as the power driver supports dimming. I use LED tape in my kitchen with a 20w dimmable power supply and it works fine. You can find lots on eBay.

please look if that solve my problem…and if I can continue using with my Intermatic HA-03 lamp module…if the dimmering proccess will do thru HA03 or directly in the transformer…I don’t understand like dimmering HA03 120 volts…I change the output in 12V…

Zwave dimming switches will only work if there are enough LED bulbs on the circuit to draw enough current to operate. One LED bulb is likely to cause the switch to freak out. More bulbs solve the problem.

Controlling the dimming is very difficult with such a low wattage LED string. What I did was use a Aeon Labs Aeotec DSC18103-ZWUS Z-Wave to control the power to the 12v switching power supply (on/off only) . The 12v output from the power supply was then connected to a 12 volt “Wireless Remote LED Light Dimmer Controller Brightness Adjustable Control” (you can find these on Ebay for less than $6. I use the key chain remote to adjust the brightness. I also use the same thing to illuminate the glass panels on my deck railing. I just mounted everything in an outdoor rated electrical box.
This is only true with dimmers that don’t have a neutral. With the neutral the dimmers can dim a single LED lamp.
