Dimmer percentages not working ?

Hi

I seem to be having issues controlling my ceiling lights (Fibaro Dimmer 2)

I am testing in my Kitchen room and the light is called “Ceiling Lights” in Vera UI7.

I am using Shortcuts in the Google Home app.

The following commands DO NOT work and the response from Vera Concierge is: NULL

ask vera concierge to change the ceiling lights to 25%
ask vera concierge to set ceiling lights to 25
ask vera concierge to change ceiling lights to 25
ask vera concierge to change ceiling lights to 25%

These commands DO work:

ask vera concierge to change the ceiling lights to High / Max / Bright
ask vera concierge to change the ceiling lights to Medium / Average
ask vera concierge to change the ceiling lights to Low / Dim

If I speak to Vera Concierge directly and ask:

change the ceiling lights to 25%

It responds by asking me again what level? If I say 25% again it says what level? and so on in a loop.

Are percentages not working for dimming lights ?

Thanks.

I also have a similar problem trying to set the thermostats set point to a value.

I have tried the following commands in the Google Home app shortcuts:

ask vera concierge to set the thermostat to 10
ask vera concierge to set the thermostat heating set point to 10

“thermostat” being the actual name of the device in Vera which is called “thermostat”.

I setup my shortcut so I can say “turn off the heating” when I say this to the Google Home speaker, Vera Concierges response is NULL.

If I speak to Vera Concierge directly and say:

set thermostat to 10 - It says sorry I did not understand that

If instead I say:

set thermostat heating level to 10 - It says “what thermostat name?” I then say “thermostat” it then says “which thermostat?” I say “thermostat” it then says “what thermostat name?” on and on…

Thermostat commands can not have shortcuts … I did not register the app with those commands as “Initial” commands.
You can currently only do switch, dimmers, and locks as a one line command.

Hi

I can’t even get it to control the thermostat when talking directly to Vera Concierge.

So how about shortcut commands for dimming lights to a certain percentage, is that not possible either ?

Thank you.

The percentage should work.

Doesn’t seem to be for me. Vera concierge says NULL all the time. Likewise when trying to set a set point on the thermostat.

Yep it looks like something broke … I am looking into it.

Richard

That’s great thank you.

I am now able to control some basic things via GH / Concierge, like lights and appliance devices.

Currently running Vera scenes via GH / Concierge to turn the heating on / off which is fine as I just have the on scene set thermostat to 23 degrees and off scene to 10 degrees.

Is it possible to turn off Vera Concierges command feedback speak ? Its conflicting with my own TTS feedback announements I previously setup in Vera.

Thank you for your continued work and plugin development.

The percentages should work now.
DialogFlow (a google company that does the AI for voice recognition) did change how they use some system entities such as percentages.

Great I will try this again and report back later or tomorrow.

Thanks

I tried speaking to Vera Concierge directly and asking him to “Change the Kitchen Lights to X%” and it now works perfectly ! ;D

I also tried Window Coverings which does work !

“Change curtains to 100%” Opens the curtains
“Change curtains to 0%” Closes the curtains

However I am still unable to set a set point value on the Thermostat, same as I described above.

Thanks.

You should also be able to do things like:
Open/Close Curtains
Set Curtains to Open/Close

I didn’t know we could do that, so didn’t try. I’ll give it a go.

Thanks
