Any word when we’ll be able to control Denon receiver through the best Vera app - Authomation?

I would have to add support for the plugin. Since there appears to be multiple versions going around, I would not know which one to support. Also adding support to the app would be low priority right now.

As much as it sounds great to support AV equipment there is just too much variation even within the same manufacturer… and way too many functions - and surely everyone will want something different.

BUT the solution is 2 fold…

  1. use a Vera plugin for the device + create Scenes to do things you want - trigger using AH
  2. download the app made by the manufacture

IMO people rely on “remote control”, old school just with a new UI - when they should be automating things.

I never use any actual remote for my receiver - except volume control - everything else is (or can be if I choose) set using EventGhost or Vera - or many other apps/devices.
