I know the locks can trigger a scene when a code is entered, how about when a key is used to manually unlock or lock?

From the Triggers tab:

  • Choose the device
  • Choose “A door is locked or unlocked”
  • Name the trigger
  • Choose either:
    • “Device is opened” for unlock
    • “Device is closed” for lock

Don’t ask me why it doesn’t say “locked” or “unlocked” for the last test

Thank you. I have not bought a lock set as of yet. You have tried the key then?

I have Kwikset locks, and using the key is the same as throwing the latch inside (since the 2 are physically connected.

Vera gets the notifications and acts on them.
