Danfoss Living Connect - (Alarm & Antenna Flashing)

Now the weather is turning colder in the Uk I have noticed that my Danfoss Living Connects are all flashing with the Alarm and Antenna which I understand to be a sort of Panic Mode (not connected) ?

Yet I still seemed to be able to control the temp via Vera, (so there was some sort of connection there) but the radiators were not responding. I’ll need to do some more testing but wanted to check if others are seeing this too.

It seems this sort of thing was discussed by OpenZwave and they worked on - OpenZWave · GitHub

Not sure if this is a wider issue or not, but I do recall another post saying something similar that this was more regular. I’ll keep an eye on it, but I have a strong node Mesh in the house so their location should not be the issue…

May well be nothing and I have re-included them again, but I’m curious if others are seeing this sort of thing often or not - Thoughts ?

Same issue here.

I have 20 Danfoss LC Radiators Valves (model no. 014G0012) on my system, using 3 Veralite controllers, and all the valves at some point require resetting/re-including to get the units out of panic mode. I am currently at a loss as to why this is the case, as I have a great mesh network. I have checked to make sure that there are no noisy electrical circuits near the valves, however this has not improved the issue.

I should add that 19 of the 20 valves are what I believe to be the latest firmware (ver 2.51).

If anyone has found a good stable way of keeping the valves out of panic mode, or re-setting them remotely I would be very interested!

(All valves set to 300sec wakeup, and 10sec polling).

I’ve noticed my valves to go into panic mode from time to time, but as others have reported they still seem to react to set point changes from Vera. I did not need to exclude and re-include them to return to normal operation; usually hitting the Up or Down button on the thermostat is sufficient. Removing the battery for a moment or setting the thermostat in Install mode (where you can install/remove it from the radiator) also works.
