Not sure what happened, but I noticed last night the lock was already yellow for battery. Checked it when I got for work and it was at 26-32%, got some time to poke around their wiki and went and checked my lock again and now it is down to 17% battery. Probably going to have to reach out to them.
On another note. I found all the settings for Z-Wave documented on their site.
As I said it does NOT change state in the lock, and therefore no matter how many times you poll it, it will not show correct state.
This will be fixed in the next firmware update though.

Well, my Locks never updates the status in vera if locking With BT.
my Locks are two weeks old, and allready Down bellow 70% of battery…
The do work - but not good. Bluetooth is useless, tested today when arrived from work With their New app…
Got tired of waiting and unlocked With the key i had to fetch from my Pocket instead.
When asking about identifying the position if operating manually, i was told it would be a firmware fix.
If they had told me that this Lock could NEVER bee Field updated (firmware), but the NEXT Version has the possibility i would returned my Locks imidiately after receiving them…
Now my battery is reporting 100% full. I went ahead and ordered some more from Amazon. They are CR123’s. Not sure if I will return it yet or not. Will see how it goes when I contact them for the new firmware once it is released.
I received my second lock today after I received the first one a couple of weeks ago and it was damaged and missing the euro cylinder. Second one got here fine but I have to say I’m very disappointed with the product. Clearly it’s not a finished product yet.
First lock I received worked with iPhone via danalock app but I had troubles adding it to my veralite , couldn’t install it cause it was missing the cylinder so I didn’t realize how hard it’s to use. It had a dent and I could hear loose parts shaking inside the lock itself .
Poly-control were kind enough to send me the second lock ( all the way to Egypt ) , I got it today and I couldn’t even add it to my locks on my iPhone , it gives me an encryption error ( screenshot attached) . It’s added to my veralite though and I had the chance to install it on my main door.
The lock couldn’t tell if it’s locked or unlocked in my vera so it was useless there cause if it’s locked and vera see it as unlocked there is no way I can unlock it using my veralite. It’s dead.
Also in their videos and website they are saying that I can manually lock or unlock it , well it’s almost impossible to do that with the circle cause it’s hard to turn it. The lock has no sense of power or resistance and if it’s locked and I locked it then it turns again and it felt like it’s going to break. I’m sure it’ll someday.
The lock has both software and hardware problems. Maybe it’s just the circle not the other model cause the other model looks like a normal knob like the cylinder I have here at home but the circle is a true disappointment.
The above post is the same email I sent to poly control asking for a refund. It’s clear that they are not ready with this product.
Regarding the battery issue, be sure to update the battery type in app under settings, be sure it is set to 3V batteries and not 3,6V, otherwise you will have a false indication of low battery.
also, be sure to set the settings for advertising in the app, if the setting is 5, it will drain the battery after 94 days of normal use.
If the setting is 1 it will last up to 780 days for the BT100 Circle.
The status of the lock only updates in Z-Wave when using electronic lock/unlock.
Hey all, I’m new to the forums. I have the Danalock BT+Zwave US model. I have a smartthings controller though. I didn’t find out about Vera before I already had the smartthings. Vera will be ordered soon though. The reason I wanted to post is because of the BLE issues. While the Android Danalock apk code is less than stellar, it’s not all their fault. Android 4.3 added BLE to devices that already had the hardware capability. The problem is BLE was add-on code and has issues. Samsung (maybe HTC too?) tried to tweak it with their own support, but it really didn’t work. Check out this article Android 4.3 Bluetooth Low Energy unstable - Stack Overflow
and Android BLE Connection time interval - Stack Overflow
and others. I have read that some of these issues will be fixed in KitKat. Hope this info helps.
Hi to all, I have the Danalock BT+Zwave EU model but not mount yet. Assume that the lock is locked mode and if I locked again or opposite the lock is unlocked and re-unlocked again by phone or z-wave interface what will happen. Is there a way to prevent re-lock or re-unlocked mode ?
It will lock again and the gears will skip as the bolt can not move any further. This did - so far - not hurt my lock.

I will try when I feel enough brave If something goes wrong you will owe a danalock unit to me
According to Danalock it’s already in the making; They should be ready with a firmware update later this month to fix all known issues (including registering position using manual turn (key/thumbturn) and lock/unlock state to avoid “re-locking”) and adding proximity BLE etc.

Has this been confirmed? I just asked Danalock support, and just got the answer that “For the [lock state] report, this is only updated for the electronically operations.”
So after 5 months my lock failed. It no longer can put torque against the deadbolt and the ring to lock/unlock manually spins endlessly while moving the deadbolt but again with no torque behind it.
Some interesting notes:
My battery reported 10-15% within 2/3 weeks but the following day it was at 100% and has been since then(In Vera and the Android app show 100%), I am actually on the factory batteries. I was not worried about battery use, since a new set of batteries from Amazon was $10 so even replacing them every 6 months was OK for me.
The biggest issue. No lockstate change on manual operations.
Still no updates on when the keypad will be available. (Without this I could not get the wife to allow auto lock to be on, since sometimes she goes outside without keys/phone and would have no way of getting back in) With this, I could at least tell everyone to not lock the door and let autolock lock it and then have vera assume locked after ## seconds.
The “update” for fixing lockstate is not upgradeable and is only for electronic operations.
So with the 4 above issues and it failing, I have fired off an email to them and will see what they do about the failed lock, but I am off to research a new lock.
My battery started at 100% and I saw it drop down to 0%, though the lock remains functional for a long time now. So yes, I’d say the battery status gets reported, but it is a bit pessimistic.
I plan to power mine from a mains adapter anyway, so it’s not a big deal for me.
sorry for the silly question, but I would like to know if it is possible to use the Danalock on doors without a handle?
From outside my door can only be opened with a key. I would like to do this with my Smartphone and Danalock.
Or is it always necessary to pull down the handle?

Thank you!
I assume that you mean that when you open the front door with the key, you turn it once around to retract the deadbolt, and then 1/4 turn or so to retract the spring latch (the one that is also operated with the handle on the inside of the door).
In principle, it’s possible. Danalock is strong enough to operate the spring latch if the lock operates smoothly. You can configure how much Danalock should turn the key, and also tell it to relock again after a number of seconds. However if you want to operate both the deadbolt and the spring latch, I’m not sure if Danalock can do it. It’ll turn the key enough to operate both, but with Danalock in the “open” position, it’ll be holding the spring latch open and your door won’t stay closed. You’d have to hold the door close and then tell Danalock to lock up.
In general, this type of lock will be difficult to automate with a single solution since you are operating 2 bolts. What you can do is install a magnetic door strike along with Danalock. When opening the door, Danalock will first retract the deadbolt, then operate the door strike so that the door can be opened. Danalock can operate a doorstrike according to the manual but I have never tried this in practice.
I had the same question, so it’s not that silly. Here is the reply I received from Danalock:
“There should be no problem in operating your door.
We have done several installation like this in DE and NL.”
I imagine you will need the Bluetooth version of the lock to make it work with your Smartphone or else wait until the key fob is released.
I asked Danalock too and received the exact same answer…Not very helpful i think.
Exactly!
Thank you for clarification, now this sounds logical to me.
Here in Germany you can buy the Keymatic for the Homematic System. This Lock has three keys: lock, unlock and open. So after unlocking the door it only performs a small turn to retract the spring latch. I think this is only a software issue and maybe an update could help…
