Hi I was thinking about buying a Vera system for the z-wave. I have experience with Crestron and am able to program Crestron systems however I don’t want to buy all the Crestron devices (or making sure it rs-232, etc) and like the z-wave wireless factor.
My question is the Crestron module that is listed in the wiki, states it for Crestron to see the z-wave status, but is it capable of the Crestron sending it commands?
My thought is all the devices that are controlling the lights and outlets are on the z-wave side and the main automation is on that side however I wanted to use a Crestron touchpanel so i can layout the panel the way i want.
Does anyone know the details of the Crestron module?
The Crestron Plugin shown on the Wiki is just one half of a complete package. The Vera plugin just reports status, there is some companion Crestron code that allows you to send commands to control any of your Z-wave devices and accept status from the Vera system. If you send me you email address I can send you a copy of the release notes for the Crestron software that communicates with the plugin. The release notes PDF is too large to post in this forum.
Could I take a look at that? I’m trying to find a good way to control zwave with my crestron system. Sounds like the vera might be the solution.
Thanks,

I would also appreciate a copy of the release notes and other details available on a Crestron module for the Vera. We install Crestron systems and want to add controllable locks to our solutions. I just installed a Vera 3 in my house to control two Kwikset locks and it works great but doesn’t integrate to the whole-house Crestron system that controls everything else.

Hey, so sorry, never saw your reply until now. I ended up purchasing it and it does still work. Although it does miss some features so make sure you read the documentation first to make sure it supports all the devices you need it to.
