connection to the Internet but Vera won't control lights

I’ve been having a weird day with Vera all day. I get a nice solid yellow light on Vera. I can go to the dashboard, device page, and other webpages. The only problem is that when I click on a go button or and on button, I get the little spiral, but nothing happens with the lights.

I have removed and replaced the dongle. I have power cycled the modem, Linksys router, and Vera (several times). When I tried to use the mobile phone interface, I saw my rooms, scenes, and devices, but when I activated a scene or device, sometimes I would get okay and sometimes I would get the word failed. But my lights didn’t work either way.

I’ve got a good IP address. The Internet is working.

I am using one of the replacement dongles fromthe replacement program.

What’s your firmware version and do you have any Leviton devices in the network?

Some of the Leviton devices tend to stop responding to polls after some time, which would let Vera stuck in a long wait state for the device to be polled. Then all the commands like On/Off will be queued up for an extended period of time. This behavior has been altered slightly in 940 firmware, so Vera won’t stuck waiting on those locked-up devices. But, resetting the device (air gap) is still needed.

Or it maybe something totally different for you…
