Jack frost has finally come and the new Z heating system is not working as expected…any ideas before this fails the essential wife test please ?
I’ve got 20 StellaZ all running from a PLEG schedule that changes setpoints upon different times/scenarios - that bit works fine. I’ve used Datamine to check the relevant variables and notice that the devices are mostly all suffering from a lot of lag, in terms of hours at best, if not days to respond to a change.
Each TRV has a 240 second wake up and polling @ 60 seconds - there generally is not much other Z network activity (lights etc) so the TRVs have the network and a Vera lite pretty much to themselves.
Datamine reports accurately that every TRV wakes up EVERY 4 mins (+/- a few seconds), updates the LastWakeup variable and if the SetPointTarget has been changed by PLEG then that is also shown.
What doesn’t happen is when the TRV awakens every 4 mins is for Vera to say Hey, I’ve got some new setpoint for you, nor does the TRV report the CurrentTemperature, or accept and change the CurrentSetpoint. Below is a screenshot that perfectly examples the issue.
As you can see Heating_Office last woke up only a couple of minutes ago (7th October 11:30 and it’s been waking up every 4 mins prior), the last time the CurrentTemperature 26c was reported was yesterday evening (6th October 21:39) and it’s definitely a lot lower that 26c now !!. The SetPointTarget of 20c was correctly set by PLEG at 06:30 this morning (7th October), but the CurrentSetpoint of 25c has not been changed by the TRV since yesterday (6th October 14:41) !
I’ve got another 19 of these TRVs all with the same lag.
What can I do ???
