From reading through the wiki I got an understanding that pretty much everything in Vera is open (i.e. sources available), except for some licensed pieces, like Z-Wave stack.

Can you please list all the pieces/modules which are not available in sources?

Only our ZWave device, the ip camera, and the _Lite plugins we don’t provide source for. We’ll be putting them in binary format in the build environment that we’re making available to developers. All the rest of the software will be in svn with source.

Will you be releasing information on interfacing with the USB fob serial interface? If not can you tell me whether it is based on some other product.

The interface to the USB fob serial interface (the black dongle) includes licensed code from Zensys that can’t be released.
