Hi all, I have been looking at link after link of confusing and outdated instructions for installing my AD2USB. I just upgraded my firmware to ui7-1.7.2348 (beta) because of frequent lockups. Every time I touch my firmware, the Ademco stops communicating, and I dig through page after page trying to blindly fumble through some step that magically solves the problem.
I desperately need one page that has the complete step-by-step list of “connect wires to here”, “plug into there”, “ssh to here”, “upload these files from this link to this page”, “edit this bash script”, “set these serial port settings”, etc. I would love it if someone posted those instructions to this forum and then pinned the page so they’d always be visible to everyone.
I love the Vera, and when the alarm works it’s great. But I really don’t understand why Vera doesn’t add native support for this device, especially because they have to realize it stops working with every single release.
