For days now I have been unable to login to vera via the getvera.com website. I have a veralite with ui5. I actually have two completely different setups and both of them just show a screen showing a moving circle and ‘checking credentials’. I expected to see a lot of entries on this topic, but found none. Am I the only one?
No, you’re not. Thought I was, wonder what’s going on.
Seeing the same thing today (only started trying today). ??? ??? ???
You are using UI5, therefore, you should be logging in via
or
https://legacy.getvera.com/users/login
Both of these methods are working at the time of this post. Also, be sure that you are not using a browser known to have problems with Vera such as Internet Explorer or Safari. Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome seem to be the best browsers for Vera.
What are the present working password requirements for UI5?
Having great difficulties once (for other reasons) changed my pwd to NOT have a special character. Ever since the outside login has not been succesful via the mentioned servers. I end up seeing the number of my Vera3 but also this message “Unable to communicate with your unit”. Also, on the upper right corner I see “welcome [my username], logout”.
Wonder what’s going on…any help would be appreciated.
If I remember correctly the UI5 website would not allow special characters, only upper and lower case and numerals. This is independent of the Vera device.
If you have a UI5 Vera and cannot login to cp.mios.com, then I would try a password reset. Failing that, I’d call Vera technical support.
Thanks Z-Waver, that’s exactly what I did.
Now waiting for the support to comment on their automatic password generator policy versus what is stated here http://support.getvera.com/customer/en/portal/articles/612204--v3-create-your-account. The requirements might conflict between their servers and my Vera3 installation?
To stir this a bit more, I had been using my Vera3/UI5 for a long time with a pwd including a special character ??? Once I changed that pwd, this went wrong. Did someone say that don’t touch a working system…but this is also a hobby Must be.
