I would spend a little more and get something that has at least android 4.0 or newer.

I would agree, I have a cheapie and can’t access Google Play, I haven’t been able to work out a method of downloading MyVera to it as a consequence.

i agree to spending more to get a better quality tablet, but for something to play around with, $60 isnt bad lol

FYI I’d check eBay for 7" Android 4.0 Tablet as I see them go for around $60 all the time:

Interesting concept here… What software would you run for the controller? Home Buddy? or just the Vera UI5 in the webpage? Or something custom like a webpage?

I personally run AutHomationHD on my tablets. But then again I’m also the developer of the app.
