Can't log in

After some unfortunate misrouting, I finally received my Vera yesterday. Initially, I got it set up and running with no issues. However, I then proceeded to change some internet settings (related to the LAN ports and wireless) but Vera hung. I tried to reset the device, but Vera would eventually not show up on my home network. Using findvera.com I get the message “Vera not found on your home network” I can log onto my Vera via the control button but get the message “User data corrupted” and can go no further.

Any advice? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Are you running a VPN? I noticed when I was on my work VPN I can’t hit vera.

No–thanks for the suggestion, though. I’m not sure what the User Data Corrupted message is all about–I’m guessing that holds the key to the problem.

I would reset the device again, then, with only one computer connected to it, enter it’s address (default of 192.168.1.1).

That should always get you in.

I’m still waiting for an official response to my query. No response to this post, to a mantis post or to a customer service inquiry this evening. Thanks in advance.

ksquared, we’ve been really swamped trying to get the next firmware release out. If you have a moment, can you send an instant message on micasaverde.com ‘support’, or perhaps call support? We kind of need to do things interactively because I’m not sure what could be causing the problem.

Thanks–just when I was starting to lose faith I found your reply. Am still working hard myself this evening, but will try and do as you suggest tomorrow sometime. Have a great evening (Friday).
