I did a little research on the email address you have used to register on the forum and I was able to find a Vera unit with UI6 assigned to your email address but unfortunately I was not able to find any trouble tickets or emails submitted.
cp.mios.com is the login portal for UI5 but since you’ve upgraded to UI6 the new login portal is home.getvera.com and this is the way to get to your Vera unit remotely.
Thanks for the info, I greatly appreciate it. I am not sure whats going on with the support tickets (i actually opened two of them from the cp.mios.com when the device could not be found, there is a link to open support cases) - could be what you mentioned about cp.mios.com only being used for UI5. You are correct, I am using UI6.
The reason why i was looking to get cp.mios.com working is because my homewave and Automator app both use MIOS (settings) to get to the device externally and i dont want to put holes in my firewall to go to the Vera directly. Maybe I should post this question on the Remote page of the forum.
UI5 and UI6 have different authentication which will require an update to HomeWave/Automator to be compatible with UI6 and MMS.
For remote app currently compatible search for Vera MMS.
For support tickets, you should now utilise http://getvera.com/support/ which corresponds with the change of business name and aligns with their new website.
