Can't get Leviton VRPD3-1LW dimmer module set up

What am I doing wrong? Here’s what I’ve tried:

Plug in module to wall in same room as Vera Edge unit.
Log on to Vera unit. Got to Devices, Add devices.
Look under Dimmer and Lights, don’t see that model.
Scroll down to Other Devices, select Other Z-Wave Device.
The screen then displays “Step 2 Pair Your Device”, has an animated icon.
At this point, I hold the programming button in until it blinks red.
Animated icon eventually freezes and nothing happens.

I’ve also tried Generic Device which immediately goes to Step 1 Pick Your Device and displays nothing else.
Presumably the wizard should be running there, but it doesn’t. When I exit the screen, a popup asks me if I meant to leave the wizard. But nothing is visible if it’s running.

I have other things working just fine. I have a Kwikset Door Lock, Sonos with TTS and a MySensors motion detector that work flawlessly and were relatively easy to set up.

I just installed a Levition VRPD3-1LW myself it worked fine the first time. I followed the same steps as you except when programming I only pressed the LED/button momentarily (probably < 1 second).

You might try to reset it then retry. From my directions the RESET is performed by:

Unplug the module and wait 5 seconds. Plug
the module back in and within 20 seconds
press and hold the programming button until
the LED turns Amber and then turns Red.
The module is now reset. Once the module is
reset, it will be necessary to Re-Include it to a
network before it can be used.

Well darn. I tried the reset too and the momentary press. Same results as before. Guess I’ll need to open a ticket with Vera. Thanks for trying to help though!

Hey, success! Here’s what I did.

First, what didn’t seem to help - moving the device closer. I originally had the dimmer module across the room (12 feet away or thereabouts) so I moved it to within a foot of the VeraEdge controller since one of the support faqs suggested that as a possible problem. No change.

What did help was changing from Firefox 45.0 to MS Edge 25 (I’m using Windows 10). With both Firefox and Google Chrome, I wasn’t seeing all the UI changes. For instance, on the “Other ZWave Device” setup, I didn’t see the numbered steps to take while using Firefox or Chrome, but did see them using Edge.
