Can't enter or modify lock pin codes with Vera Plus

I just bought a VeraPlus to replace my Vera3, which was actually working fine with UI5. I set it up and everything worked fine except I couldn’t add pin codes to my Schlage lock via the UI7 interface. There was no active link/button for adding codes on the “Pin codes” screen for that device. There was an active link for restrictions for each existing pin code, but when I tried to enter a restriction, it wouldn’t set. I could, however, delete pin codes.

I went through a couple of exclude/include cycles, with the controller right next to the lock, with no change. I let it sit for several days, no change.

In reading through some of the posts on the forum, it appeared that my lock might be too old to work with UI7, and I liked the powered deadbolt feature on the new locks anyway, so I bought a new Schlage BE469. I installed the batteries and set the lock next to my VeraPlus unit, and successfully included it.

The result was the same: no way to enter pins via the user interface, although I could do it manually, the restrictions link was active but I couldn’t change settings, but I could delete pins.

So what I’m seeing is the same error (or I’m making the same error) with two different locks. I’m assuming at this point that it isn’t the locks, and there’s some kind of problem with my VeraPlus and/or the user interface.

Any suggestions?

Be sure to include your Vera unit serial number and the tech support access code. You can enable it by going to Settings > Customer Care and then clicking on the Enable button at the bottom of the page.
