I can’t delete certain devices. Only tried this on a couple, so don’t know if it’s all devices or just specific ones. The devices in particular I’m trying to delete are failed or no longer present, so I go through the delete process in UI7, skip the exclude step, then the Luup engine reloads. The device always comes right back. Also tried deleting devices using AltUI and the same thing happens. Devices always come back after reload. Also tried deleting using the URL method, which generates an ‘OK’ response, but still does not work.
Opened a support ticket, but curious if anyone else has an immediate suggestion. Already read through most of the similar posts in the forum. Thanks!
Can’t help you but did want to chime in that I am having exactly the same problem.
So I was also wondering whether or not these devices that are no longer present but still in the Vera network are contributing to my “Can’t detect device” errors that I am plagued with.
Thanks! I’ve tried that many times in the past actually. Usually works fine, but in this case not even that worked to delete these devices.
Strangely, I started taking my VeraPlus around to several working devices and I was able to exclude and then delete them. After that, I was also able to permanently remove the failed devices that would not go away. Not quite sure what’s going on here, but perhaps it’s isolated to deleting failed devices that are not longer available to exclude first.
