Can Motion Sensor Associations Be Used to Only Turn On Lights, But Not Off

I would like to use device group associations to turn lights on with motion detectors for near instantaneous response for walking into a room. However, I would like some enhanced Vera logic for turning lights off.

Currently, there is a 1-2 second lag when using Vera routing that I would like to avoid. When setup for direct association, it will shutoff the light after the no-motion timer elapses (10 minutes in my config), however, there may be other logic needed to turn off a light (and a delay of a few seconds won’t be as obvious).

My specific hardware scenario is using EZMotion+ 3-in-1 Sensor to turn on a Leviton dimmer light switch.

PS - I wasn’t sure to put this in Lighting, Motion, or general…but since it is cross function and Z-wave specific, guessed on General forum board. Sorry if it is in the wrong place.

What’s the question? Are you saying that you are Ok with the 10 minute turn off but want to add another turn off scene? Or are you saying that you want to prevent the motion sensor’s 10 minute turn off from occurring, in favor of some other turn off scene?

If the former, just create your turn off scene, but after 10 minutes the light’s going off. If the latter, you’ll likely have to stop using associations in favor of scenes or PLEG.

Basically, the 1-2 second delay for pleg or native Vera scene is a little too slow for my tastes. Associations are instantaneous.

I super appreciate the clarification
