Can a Vera 1 be upgraded to U15

I have an old Vera 1 running on U14. I would like to upgrade it to U15. Is there a path to doing that on the Vera 1 or do I have to buy a Vera 3? It would have to be a Vera 3 because that is the only option that provides the lan ports which I use now on the Vera 1.

I’m also on Vera 1 and would love the answer.

If I have to upgrade to one of the latest and greatest, how would that happen with the new ‘controller’?
