I recently upgraded my VeraLite from UI5 to UI7. Because of problems, I downgraded, following posted procedures back to UI5. I performed a factory reset in the process. Yesterday, I noticed the device had become almost unresponsive. I tried several things, including SSH using Putty and issuing a reset command from there. Things got worse and eventually I connected it to an XP machine and used the upgrade tool to flash recovery firmware. During this process, all seemed to go as expected, including a “success” message at the end. But after this, despite not touching the unit at all, it went dark for a prolonged period of time. I was waiting for it to reboot for about 45 minutes. Nothing changed, so I unplugged it and plugged it back in again. Upon plugging in, all lights come flash briefly in unison, once, then the unit stays dark and nothing further happens. I have left it this way for up to an hour at a time, and also left it unplugged overnight, but nothing further happens whenever I plug it back in.
I have tried holding the reset button down while plugging it back in, but this changes nothing. I have tried double pressing the reset button while plugged in and still nothing. I have tried the 30-30-30 method reported by some to be effective in resetting a device, but again, did not help.
What I have noticed, is that when plugging the power in, if the batteries are installed, the lights all flash together two times. Without batteries, they only flash once. After either, nothing further happens.
According to my router, it is not present even when connected to a port. When plugged directly to my PC using a network cable, it does not issue an IP to my PC either.
Any suggestions? Is it bricked? Thanks…
