Black Friday Deals

Anyone find any decent black Friday deals on Z-wave stuff? I had snagged a few things over at zwaveproducts.com during the 30% off veterans day deal (eg. schlage lock for $140 etc. -yet to receive them due to their slooow shipping and non-existent customer service >:(). I am hoping a few similar deals pop up during this thanksgiving weekend. ;D 8) ;D
Please post any decent deals in this thread if you like…

Watch out with those zwaveproducts.com people. They don’t have their act together and you may regret doing business with them. They sent me two used (1 already burnt up) Cooper dimmer switches. When I contacted Cooper Wiring they told me they quit doing business with that company because of several similar complaints. They never ended up sending me what I ordered, though they did send me other z-wave devices.

Buyer be warned!!

There will be another one today.

Ditto that for that company. Reseller ratings have awful reviews about this company. Absolutely no customer support, never any replies to any emails. They advertise low prices in order to rope people in and then send refurbished or dead products. Only order if you are ready to fight it out and contest with your credit card companies. I personally have been burned by this company. Am going to be contesting my charges with the CC company. >:( >:(

Wow, good to know. I only had one dealing with them and it was OK. One switch was bad (and clearly had been used before) but they replaced it without any hassles.

thanks for the warining about zwaveproducts.com. i was about to order receptacles from them. now i changed my mind. i bought all my first zwave devices from them and iwas lucky-all of them are working since july (including vera2, kwikset, panasonic camera, etc). but how do we know that other online stores are trustworthy? (no offense ASIHome - i just signed with you today).

Interesting that ZwaveProducts is not listed in the Wiki. I guess that says something.

I recently ordered 6 HA02 Applicance Modules from them, but received 6 plugs instead. No response yet from them regarding this error.

Well, it is by no means complete. I just started it up and added the retailers that I and a few others had recently purchased from after a forum discussion about product availability came up. I just made an order from zwaveproducts myself, and experienced slow shipping and poor customer service too, but the products did arrive in good shape. I’ll be adding them to the wiki after I install the gear, but encourage you or others to go ahead and add your experiences in the meantime too.

Thanks for posting up. I have been on the fence for the last month and this pushed me into getting a Vera and a Kwikset lock to start off with… I’ll follow up with some switches soon after!

Thanks

Thanks for the heads up on this! I’m seriously tempted to just move on to something better supported, especially at this price point. Might have to spend some time this weekend tinkering around with HS2.
