Evening all, few questions as I get going with my new VeraPlus. I have my Vista20p setup w/ EVL4 and about 20 zones/sensors.
- How do you all “group” your rooms w/ devices? ie. would the Kitchen Door sensor be grouped into “Kitchen” or do you all make a group called “Sensors” and have each sensor there?
- What iOS App do you recommend for VERA?
- I noticed the “text” message notification is very slow, maybe because of my T-Mobile carrier throttling I believe. Any other methods you all use to send a text notification of a specific event?
Any other start-up organization tips would be greatly appreciated. Especially any posts/documents outlining the Scene “Luup Code” “Advance Editior” also in the Devices the “Advanced” tabs and descriptions for that info.
Thanks guys!!!

- rooms for me, but that’s a personal thing.
- Homewave, runner up Imperihome
- Vera Alerts and prowl or pushover.
Does the VeraAlert app work with IOS? I’m asking because the details of the app reads “Vera Home Automation system and delivered to your Android phone”
I use “rooms” as well but I do keep all my alarm sensors in a section called “Alarm Zones”. I use VeraMate for my iPhone app, pretty happy with it.
