Goody, the system allows me to both Applaud AND Smite you. 
It’s official. This thread increased my smites by an order of magnitude. All this walking on eggshells for years to avoid offending posters… posts wasted!
One more on the applaud. Did that even it out

Being in this tread definitely gets you smited. Mine went from 3 to 12 in a day after posting here. I’m sure this is all by people who contributed to the Vera community much more than we did

Yes, I used to be -4, now I’m -42.
It’s been amusing, and somewhat liberating (I used to pick my words more carefully), but I do feel that a large negative score could deter newcomers. This is actually cyber-bullying and should be reported. Perpetrator barred from the BB, etc… I presume the BB administrator can tell what’s going on?
Got you beat. I went from the teens to 70+ in less than a week. My complaints department would like to invite all those ‘smiters’ for dinner.

seems having a community vote on + or - would make the most sense
but i simply downvote everyone since it means next to nothing

My vera persona is strangely proud.
Just after I went over minus 40, it is gone Too bad for that person spending sooo much time on smiting us all!
