Are automatic updates working for any of you?! I have acces to about 4 vera’s, and not a single one of them is doing updates from apps.mios.com automatically! Even month after updates have been released they did not load the newest version of any apps!
What is your experience with this?!
What I have noticed is that any plug-in that I have gone to apps.mios.com and downloaded the most recent version will never auto-update. These are the ones marked with an asterisk after the version number (1.4*).
The few plug-ins I haven’t manually updated will generaly update after two or three days.
I have not seen any of my apps update automatically at all… >:(
I don’t think mine do either.
But, who the hell knows… the web site does not even have the version #s posted and when you use Vera’s UI, it will not show you Plugins under ‘Install’ that you have already installed… so you don’t even know what version you should be on.
that whole Plugin system is SH!T. It needs to be fixed just like scene creation.
I wish they’d just open source the damn code and let real people with skills actually fix these problems.
None of mine have ever updated either. Whats the point of checking “auto update” in the setup tab? Why can’t MCV get this working? They should have this function actually do something.
I don’t have a clue hold to manually update without first uninstalling the plug in first which creates all kinds of broken things in Vera!

@micasaverde: any plans to make this working?! why should I be updating plugins if the biggest part of the users want benefit from it?!
