For “device turned on/off” event - shouldn’t user be able to define polling interval?
Created a bug report to add that feature: http://bugs.micasaverde.com/view.php?id=227
Right now it polls a device every 10 seconds, so the poll frequency for a device depends on how many devices there are.

e) Under the Event Automation: If I select and try to build an event based on a unit turning On or Off. The only device listed is the motion detector. It would be nice to be able to have other devices allowed. For instance, If the lamp it turned on…
This will be added in about 1 to 2 weeks as we add the ability to get the feedback from the new Leviton Vizia RF + line of devices; those are the first ones that report when the switch has changed.[/quote]
I assumed that On/Off event based on polling current status and thus detecting a change - but based on the quote above I seem to be wrong, and it requires device to send a feedback?
Can you implement poll-based On/Off events? It would be extremely useful.
Can you implement poll-based On/Off events
Actually we did. It works either way. The point was that will polling it won’t be instant.
I just upgraded to 1.0.292, and in Events >> On/Off event there’s still no devices to choose from.
If polling works then all switches should be in the list, shouldn’t they?
The ability to create events based on switch changes didn’t make it into the 292 firmware. But it will be in the next one in about a week. It’s one of the items we’re working on right now.
