AutHomationHD 3.1.3.10 Beta
well i updated the app from marketversion to beta and it would still say in apps that it is the marketversion. uninstalled marketversion and installed beta worked fine.
would it be possible to add the ergy plugin and let it show a thunderbolt and the total amount of energy used ?
and http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,13470.0.html system monitor plugin to show mem used / cpu-load / uptime / proc running ?
and perhaps remove the vera’s own scenecontroller and richards program logic core as well from the app as it is no use to show this ?
I’ll add the system monitor plugin to my list. As for the ergy plugin, I do not use the search, how does this get presented into Vera? Would you be willing to provide me your vera data so I can look at what it shows?

As for the hidden devices, I’ll add a fix that if it is marked invisible, to automatically hide the device. For the time being you can hide the device by long pressing on the tile and clicking the eye icon.

i have given it a thought and maybe its better to use vera’s build-in energymeasuring as the ergy plugin uses a different approach and is only available through login on a different website. the one found in the UI5 > energy > live usage.
thanx for the fix, thats a very good idea to mark them as invisible at start. i had done this allready and even renamed the scenecontroller. renaming it works fine but its no use to have the device shown.
app is working great till now. lot faster also. and no more bugging with the wireless and mobile networks … great job !

edit :
live energy usage http://IP:3480/data_request?id=live_energy_usage presented as
[pre]Device # Name Room Category Watts[/pre]watts per device http://IP:3480/data_request?id=variableget&DeviceNum=34&serviceId=urn:micasaverde-com:serviceId:EnergyMetering1&Variable=Watts

i sended data2 to your mail just in case u want to see it
better json formatter : http://www.bodurov.com/JsonFormatter/
very good codewriting app : http://notepad-plus-plus.org/

perhaps you can add this plugin too, its a heliotrope with 2 output lines for azimuth and altitude ? http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php?topic=6885.msg43696#msg43696

As far as I can tell, the auto connection switching seems to be working as intended.

Also, I’m guessing you’re aware of the new Google Play option to have a simultaneous beta and production release. Just curious if you had considered releasing betas through them to help us be more aware when you make a new test release.

Notes on it in case you hadn’t seen it:

Thanks for the heads up. I am aware of the new testing options for the play store and am excited to start using it. I have not had the time to enable it until now. I will post details when it becomes active.

I also wanted to add that the next version of the beta will have Tasker / Llama integration. ;D

Huh? What, was that held back in the new beta or something? I haven’t had the time to check it out yet so I don’t know.

Sorry, I was not clear. I added a tasker plugin so that custom intents can be set within Tasker and not have to use the custom intent syntax. So when you create a new task and you go to add an action, you select “Plugin” and then select either “AutHomationHD Device” or “AutHomationHD Scene”. A window will pop up allowing you to select either a device or scene and their action depending on what they can control. No need to use a custom intent and writing something like this “authomation://device/1234567/27/on”.

Oh snap! Nice feature!

Thanks for all of your hard work! You have been doing a great job of maintaining this app. I wish there were a way for me to properly express my gratitude.

Great to hear! I’ve always enjoyed running your app, and hate to miss out on running the latest and greatest even for a day or two

New beta posted. See first post for details and download link. If you have not done so already and you have play store access, you can sign up for the beta testing via the play store to automatically get updates. See link below for details:

Well, I was able to update from the Play Store, but it wouldn’t notify me of the update. I opened up “My Apps”, and it didn’t show an update, but when I went to your app, the option was there. I even went back to “My Apps” and it still didn’t offer an update. I wonder if Google didn’t implement update notifications for beta testing.

Not sure, I have not used the option on my phones. My father stop by my place earlier today and I got him enrolled into the beta on this phone. It took some time for the update to show up in his “My Apps” section. Once it showed, I was able to download the update. The play store beta program is all new to me. So I am sure it would take some getting use to.

Will this new Tasker functionality break the existing Tasker functionality? Could you please amend the currrent Tasker/Llama thread with some information on this new update? I basically know squat about Tasker. Just what I can get Vera to make it do with AutHomation and a heads up would be nice.

Hi Garrett,

Looks like you have some white on white going on…

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

Sorry about that. When I was messing with the themes, it looks like the settings activity is confusing what theme to load for the dialogs. I fixed the issue and will get an update out later today.

Hi.
In Tasker selecting devices the “Virtual ON/OFF Switches” shows up but not with a on and off selection.

That is because I have not added support for it in the Tasker plugin yet.

Hi Garrett,

Not sure if you’re taking feature requests here, but my wife and I have been using the camera interface extensively to monitor our baby, and it works pretty well from remote locations outside our LAN. It looks like you’re polling for images at a 1 second interval as opposed to a streaming video which works just fine. What I noticed is that sometimes, the imagegrabs work right off the bat when I click the camera tile, but other times I have to pull down to do a full refresh first, then it works. Do you know why this might be?

Also – would it be possible to get a fullscreen/zoom capable version of the camera display along with the ability to optionally copy and share the imagegrab?

Thanks!

Polling is one second when on wifi connection (the reason that it is not true streaming is that UI5’s camera api for outside of network streaming is broken / non-existent). When on mobile data, I believe I have it set to 15 seconds refresh. I will add an option to have this configurable. As for the image not updating, are you referring to the image on the tile or on the dialog that pops up when clicking on the camera tile? The image on the tile itself is refreshed once every 5 minutes or when refreshing the data.

As for the fullscreen option / zoom capabilities. I’ll add it to my list, but this is something that is not priority for me as their are other great apps out there that will do a better job controlling and viewing the camera image.

Ahh… that explains the variance that I see in the refresh rate. I only use Authomation for cameras when I’m outside my local network since as you recognize, there are other apps to handle the camera when I’m on the LAN. The polling works great for what we’re trying to use the camera for: I’m aware of the broken video streaming API.

The image I am having issues with is the one that appears AFTER you press on the tile (I was not aware there was even an image on the tiles, but perhaps it’s because I use the compact version). If the image fails to come up, I can get it to by closing the blank image display, pulling down on the tiles to do a refresh, and then pressing on the tile again. It’s not consistent, and most times, I don’t need to do the full refresh to get the image to show up. It’s certainly usable as is.

As for full screen/zoom, I wasn’t thinking about full camera PTZ control, but rather a pinch digital zoom which I thought would be built in to android image manipulation functions.

Regards,
-Ted
