attach picture to Vera alerts message (to Android phone)

When i try {Video(5,3)} which I assume should send me pictures form device 5 for 3 seconds, I get an email where the body simply says:

{video:va.5.45005970.2015-10-12-16-24-09.mjpeg}

but there is no photo(s).

Interestingly enough, {Picture(5)} works fine. I get an email with a nice .jpg attachment of 1 shot from my camera.

any ideas why Video isn’t working for me?

Video is ONLY supported by the Android Vera Alerts app.

Thanks. Pushover looks interesting but I have not used it. Do you have any idea how I can accomplish this with Pushover? I have been trying to do as much research on how to get an image from my IP Camera (that is also setup in Vera on UI7) sent to me by either email or push when a sensor is stripped but so far no luck. Any help would be appreciated…

I notice that the alert is not displayed until a successful image download. Is there any way to display the alert instantly? It would be nice to get quick feedback on the sensor tripping, and just have the imagery appear on a “best effort” basis. Sometimes, the image transfer fails for me, and the alert then never even shows up.
