Since Vera is dragging there feet wit Ifttt and google home integration, I am using one of the workarounds. I know it is not totally secure having an open port but I limited the allowable port range to ifttt’s servers ip range and using it for lights only
My question is I would like to use a ifttt text ingredient other than the number of a device id. If I can figure out how to assign a unique name to the device id then I could use 2 ifttt applets (one for on and one for off) for all my lights rather than having one for each light. I would rater say “turn on bedroom light” vs Turn on 102 light" assuming the device id of my bedroom light =102.
