AON Labs minimote (what does the option "button off") do?

Hi all,

I just recieved the AON Labs minimote (remote controll), after I had issues with the kfob from z.me.
The Minimote installs nicely and works good, just one question which I don’t understand.

To allocate scenes to buttons, you go to the tab “scenes” and select what scene needs to activate when pressing button 1-4.
There is also a second row saying :" Activate the following scenes when the buttons are turned off:" I can select here also the same scenes as in the first row:“Activate the following scenes when the buttons are turned on:

Let’s say I have 2 scenes, 1 scene says “lights on” , the other scene says “lights off”.
On the upper selection for button 1 (Activate the following scenes when the buttons are turned off:) I have selected the scene “lights on”
On the bottum selection for button1 (Activate the following scenes when the buttons are turned on:") I have selected the scene "lights off).

I would say , pressing the button 1 the first time would activate the lights and pressing it a second time would turn off the lights.
Turning the lights on with the first click works OK , but the second click (switching them off) does not work.

Obviously I don’t understand what the difference is between:
Activate the following scenes when the buttons are turned off: &
Activate the following scenes when the buttons are turned on:

Hope someone can share some light on this ,

Thanks,
Cor

Hello Cor,

A long press on the remote button would trigger the second scene (button turned off).

Roy.

Ahh a long press is “off”

many thanks,
Cor

If you want to use a single button to switch the same light both ON and OFF alternately, then set up a scene with the “toggle” functionality found in the Advanced setting and assign that to the desired button.

I’ve done this for four separate lights for each of the MiniMote scene buttons and then assigned a single additional scene “All Four Off” to all of the second scenes so that a long press on any of the buttons turns the whole group off. Easy to remember - even guests can use it!

Love that MiniMote!!
