Anything for new British Gas / Electric Smart Meters?

Hi

I just agreed to switch from E.ON to British Gas, they are going to be installing some new gas and electric smart meters at some point and I get a new energy monitoring gadget!

I am currently using the E.ON branded CurrentCost ENVIR Electric monitor and the Vera add-on for that. So I can see real-time electric usage in Vera etc.

Was just wondering if there was any add-on or integration that can be done with Vera and the new British Gas Smart Meters?

Thanks

Perhaps they are similar to the Dutch smart meters, for which a plugin exists.

The Dutch smart meters come with a “P1” port, which is a 9 pin D connector IIRC. Perhaps you can find out if the UK smart meters have this P1 port as well.

Will certainly look in to it more when the new smarts meters are fitted, that could be in 11 weeks time though.

Thanks

Hello,

Did anything ever come of this?

Thanks
Sam

I have just had one of these installed and wondered if it could be datamined.

Have found nothing of use apart from:

However I am unsure how/what would be relevant for us Vera users.

I use an Owl energy monitor that cost ?20 in b&q, it talks to the rfxtrx no problem.
