Anyone here put an HSM100 outside

I was thinking of using it under my front porch in a corner. It would never get wet there. I am just wondering if the -10 temperatures in winter we get could some how damage it. Can’t see why it would

I guess that the main issue would be humidity…i was therefore thinking of wrapping them into a PE film…are you going to give a try?

I use hsm-100s in temps slightly below 0 F without problems, I do use NiMH low self discharge batteries which have much better performance at low temps than standard NiMH which are still much better than alkaline. I use a HMTS001 outside (since replaced by the ST814) and simply screwed the mount through the inside of an upside down ziplock bag which I leave open, this has exposure to temps as low as -10 F on occasion, all have survived multiple seasons without incident
