I tried to add the newest DSC upload to my vera3 and now nothing works and nothing is there anymore.
I really don’t want to start all over again with the panel sensor triggers etc…
Are you saying that nothing at all on vera is working non of your zwave devices? Or is it just the DSC that is not working?
- Garrett
I’m assuming the DSC related stuff.
DSC is gone. I thought maybe it was the settings where the serial port configuration was, I changed that from “DSC panel” to “serial Portlist” and the DSC vanished. Now I can’t select it back in the device list.
I got an email in with George at MCV to see if he can restore my unit to the way it was prior to last nights attempt to get the keypad armed and disarmed through scenes. I didn’t save a local copy of my configuration prior to attempting the upload (ooops). BUT atleast the box was checked to save copy at MIOS, hopefully he can pull that off.
Before I did the last final screw up that deleted the DSC, I was getting an error message
“Device Not Ready” I tried rebooting vera3 and removing power from the IT-100 too but no luck.
The IT-100 is flashing a steady green LED pulse every second but still nothing. I don’t want to start over with all the DSC stuff (Scenes and Notifications of DSC Devices)
UPDATE, I might be in luck, I’m waiting for George from MCV to get into my unit, he replied to my email and I’m waiting for the repair. then GARRETWP, maybe I can email you a backup file of my system and you can see what I’m doing wrong?
FIXED ;D, george from MCV saved the day. I am back to the way it was yesterday morning, everything is communicating. I guess I’ll wait to attempt creating scenes that disarm the alarm from my Kwikset when it’s officially released. Thanks OTI and GWP for the input but the upload stuff is over my head for now. I’m sure it’s so simple but… :-[
Disarming the alarm from a kwickset works already, no need to wait for anything!
- First make sure you have read the wiki here and specifically the section under Additional setup to enable remote arming.
- Set up a basic scene that is able to disarm the alarm and then save/test to confirm that it works; you’ll currently need the advanced tab in UI5 to do this, see below for example picture of what you need to select and type in there.
- If you can get 2) to work then add a trigger to this scene using the example in my other picture.
- Save and test.
- Crack a cold one open and then enjoy your work
Thank You Strangely for the info, from this thread: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,9050.0.html
I was able to tinker with different stuff and figure out how to get it to work.
You’ll see toward the bottom of the thread, I had to insert a delay to get it to work correctly.
Curious if you might have come across that issue too?
Nope mine works without a delay just fine! I guess there are some timing issues that maybe related to network size and routing that could affect things!
