I purchased a Dahua IPC-HFW4300S from Amazon and it works fine by itself (nice picture quality) but I have spent months tweaking the settings to make it work in my Vera environment but no luck so far.
Where is everyone getting stuck on this? I’m looking for a snapshot URL for this model, however, I’m not even 100% sure I’m entering that information correctly. I tried to download the “Generic IP Camera” plugin (according to some instructions I found on here), but when I click “Install” on the plugin in the MIOS appstore, I get an error message that install was not successful. Has anyone made any progress on this?
As long as you can find the snapshot URL (JPG) it will hopefully work. You don’t need any plugins.
Once you do have the URL for your camera, you can try the instructions I’ve posted here: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,15701.0/nowap.html. Skip to the part that’s titled Vera Setup. You’ll have to update the instructions with the right port number and URL for your devices.

Good luck![/quote]
Thanks! I’ll give this a try tonight. I think half the issue is that no one knows what the URL is for this particular model. Dahua doesn’t seem to have much documentation to help, either.
