Just got an HTC Thunderbolt the other day with dual core processor. This makes using Android as a control worth while. Both Homebuddy and web app are very responsive and useable. With my old phone it was faster to walk to the switches. The dual core processors make it fast enough to work. I’ve also noticed that with my old phone the door lock didn’t always respond. Now it does every time and quickly. Could be a coincidence.
Some of the performance boost may be the android version and some credit to the hardware. FROYO 2.2.2 and Gingerbread 2.3.0 both gave a good performance boost over ECLAIR 2.1.x The Thunderbolt is a nice device and should serve you well.
Be sure to check out AutoHTN as well. Not quite as up to date functionally as HomeBuddy but the GUI is a little nicer IMO. (Can’t do more than one T’Stat.)
If you’ve got 2.2 or above, then please try my android alerting app “vera alert” - details on this forum (it requires a virtual device install on your vera).
