Amcrest ProHD 1080p Review

I had a play with an Amcrest ProHD 1080p. It was quite good.

From the other thread i gather the MJPEG stream won’t work in Vera (yet), i wonder if it would work in imperihome…? Coincidently, i’m looking at an email from Foscam.us offering that same exact camera for 89.99.

There is some link between the companies I think. In a thread on reddit about this camera someone mentioned that, "Amcrest used to be Foscam US but Foscam rather sell their cameras directly so amcrest took over and made their own. "

I stumbled on a note on the Foscam.us site that states their overseas supplier is undercutting them, so they are no longer supporting them and to contact Foscam Shenzhen instead. Armrest is their own line now going forward.

Hi I have been using the Amcrest ProHD 1080p with Vera Plus and Imperihome. The MJPEG stream works very well. Using the modified files from this forum, I also have Pan-Tilt control from the Vera interface and in Imperihome.

Daniel - Would you mind sharing the URLs you used to have Amcrest snapshot and video stream to work correctly in Vera and Imperihome?
